Why write? Why read?
Why even strive for more? or downright exist?
I do countless things without purpose– far too many times have I sprinted upstairs just to find I forgot what I was looking for or dye my hair or wear a whoopi cushion to a party where no one else was dressed up. Things happen.
But there are far more things that I do with purpose, because I serve a mighty God that gives purpose to life.
Regardless of circumstance, this God is bigger, and what’s so utterly mindblowing about it is, regardless of whether you recognize it or not, God is your God. He is God no matter what we think, who we serve, or how we waste our time.
That’s sometimes comforting and other times it puts my prideful being in its place.
Do you know this God? If not, please do ask. He’s changed everything about my world. If you do, please share. We call the Gospel the Good News, and don’t we normally share good news? I must admit I casually like to unveil the fact that I just got a Kindle (oops, see I just did it). How much more should I proclaim the news that our lying, slandering, cheating, and even pride deserved the unmentionable but ever-so-real Hell.
But Christ offers communion with Him.
Forgiveness of sins.
the fulfillment of our purpose on this earth.
and Heaven.
Do you know Him? I’ll gladly introduce you. He’s my why.
what’s your WHY?
