Whenever it’s not raining, it’s tempting to think about water falling from the sky as poems being sung directly into your ear. You think of brightly colored of umbrellas and books and coffee. :: a perfect afternoon.

Though I tend to lean to the side of being too idealistic, I’m very aware that rain in college is not ideal. You are soaked and cold and nothing really matches rainboots.
Rain looks a bit more like this:

which results in ridiculous innovation (my backpack is the massive lump on my back). These pictures are from Costa Rica, and because we were already completely out of place, might as well have a protruding back as well.
One positive: Rainboots conveniently double as snowboots for Texans. Though, when I wear them I look like a pirate with peg-legs. Admit it’s true.
Tomorrow the sun is going to shine, and I have the best day planned.
Actually, when it was raining this morning, I totally thought about how nice the rain was in Costa Rica because it was actually warm unlike the icy rain that fell from the sky today.
